"Taste of English Football" Wraps Up In Oxford

Seacoast United’s "Taste of English Football" trip wrapped up its final full day in the UK on Tuesday with a trip to the historic towns of Woodstock and Oxford.  The group enjoyed a morning tour of the beautiful Blenheim Palace (birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill).  That afternoon, a private open-top sightseeing tour bus took the group around town before dropping them at Kassam Stadium, home of Oxford United, for their 3rd and final match of the 6-day trip.  The "U’s" were set to play 5th place AFC Wimbledon in an important Conference Blue Square Premier match at 7:45pm.

Seacoast United & Oxford United to Strengthen Ties

As Seacoast United embarks on its "Taste of English Football" trip, the Club is pleased to announce the strengthening of its ties with Oxford United.  Meetings between Paul Willis and Kelvin Thomas, Oxford’s Chairman will take place early next week so check back for updates on the progress.  A fellow Nike Club, Oxford currently stand top of the English Conference after a good 1-0 win over promotion hopefuls Rushden & Diamonds.  Over 7,500 people were in attendance highlighting the loyal fan base the Club enjoys.  Check out www.oufc.co.uk for more information on Oxford United.

Monty & Seacoast Set for Exchange This Summer

Paul Willis’ former Boys’ Club, Montagu & North Fenham and Seacoast United have enjoyed a great relationship since 1995.  The first SUSC team to travel abroad included the likes of former player Nate Hardy and the 1995 trip to Newcastle, England was enjoyed by everyone involved.  Various exchanges have taken place since then and the Club is proud to announce that SUSC has been selected to represent the USA in the Four Nations "Clubs for Young People" aka "Boys & Girls’ Clubs" Boys Tournament this June in Durham, England.  The Seacoast squad will compete against England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.  The players will be hosted by members of "Monty".  Later this summer, the current Montagu U16 boys’ side will travel to SUSC to play a number of friendly games in early August.
