Academy Teams Find Success In NY

This past weekend officially started the second half of Seacoast United’s U.S. Soccer Development Academy Program. Both the Pre-Academy and Academy squads were in action with games taking place on Saturday and Sunday in New York. Our performance as a club was very good when compared to the time of year, our competitors, and what our club’s focus has been during the winter.
On Saturday, Seacoast United were evenly matched across the board with Gottschee Pre-Academy and Academy squads.
3 Wins on Saturday for SUSC Pre Academy

Seacoast United’s Pre Academy teams hosted New Jersey Soccer Academy (NJSA) on Saturday at the SUSC Outdoor Complex in Epping. The clubs participated in a tripleheader that resulted in three wins for the Seacoast United boys. Each match was decided by 1 goal, with the 99’s in a 4-3 win, and the 98’s & 97’s with a 1-0 victory. Click here for more on the Seacoast United U.S. Development Academy and Pre Academy programs.
SUSC U17/18 Academy Draw 1-1 With IMG at Florida Showcase

Seacoast United’s U17/18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy drew 1-1 with IMG Academies in their first match of the 2012 U.S. Development Academy Winter Showcase in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Hundreds of college coaches from across the country as well as national team scouts attend this annual event that features top talent within the youth soccer program. All 80 Academy clubs compete in three games each over the five day showcase.
