Meteoric Rise for Former Seacoast United Development Academy Star

From a school-based program in Manchester, NH for inner-city kids to the US U17 National Team in a span of just over four years, Guyllian Kabala is experiencing what most young soccer players only dream of.

Kabala was one of the starting 11 for the US U17 National Team vs. Brazil at the Nike International Friendlies in Florida early December.   While training and playing for the U17 National Team, Guy had a chance to spend some time with former teammates from the Seacoast United Development Academy during the squad’s trip to participate in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.  The Showcase ran concurrently with the Nike Friendlies.

Kabala Makes 1st Start for U17 National Team

Former Seacoast United Development Academy midfielder Guy Kabala (Manchester, NH) made his first start for the U17 US National Team at the 2011 Nike International Friendlies in Lakewood Ranch, Florida on November 30th.  The United States tied France 2-2 in their opening match of the event.  The Nike International Friendlies are being held at the same complex as the U.S. Development Academy Winter Showcase, where Seacoast United's U15/16 and U17/18 Academy teams are participating.

Alumni Update

Seacoast United’s US Soccer Development Academy alumnus Trent Roy (Stratham, NH) was named Freshman of the Week by the Northeast-10 Conference on Monday, October 24th after scoring a goal in each of the Raven's wins last week, including the game-winning goal over Assumption College.  Franklin Pierce is currently ranked #2 in the NSCAA Division II Top-25 Poll, and close out the regular season this week with two games on the road against Bentley University and LeMoyne College.  Read the full article here.

 

 

White, Bowdoin Coast to Victory

Sam White (Falmouth, ME) scored the first of Bowdoin College’s three goals in their recent 3-1 win over the University of Southern Maine.  The Polar Bears improved to 3-1-0 this fall, read the full match report here.  Game articles were also published in The Times Record here.

Kabala Selected for U16 National Residency Program

Guy Kabala was recently selected for the U16 National Team residency program by US Soccer.  A native of Manchester, NH, Kabala was recruited while playing for Seacoast United’s US Development Academy program during the 2010/11 season after standout performances against other Academy clubs in the region and showcase events in Arizona and Texas.

 

 

Seacoast United U16 Boys Academy to Represent USA in Four Nations Tournament
Saturday, June 11, 2011

HAMPTON, NH - On Monday, June 13, Seacoast United’s U16 Boys Academy Team, members of the US Soccer Development Academy Program, will depart for England to participate in the Four Nations “Clubs for Young People” Tournament being held in Durham, England, just a few miles south of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
