Coaches will be looking to select a maximum of 28 players to take part in the top level ATP teams. A maximum number of 14 will be selected to create our U12 Seacoast Team, in effect a ‘B’ level ATP team. Each coach involved in the ATP program, included those of the ‘B’ ATP teams, will still adhere to the training approach and philosophy set forth by the program.
The top group of up to 28 will be split into a 1st team and 2nd team after tryouts leading up to the first week of NEP play. This will allow players to settle into the program and allow coaches ample time to determine the ability level of all players. These 2 groups will train at the same time and on the same field so there will be ample time for combined training with players and coaches. For a more detailed description about this process please see U12 ATP Training.
The selected Seacoast ATP team will train separately to the top ATP groups. Combined training may be possible dependent on coaches’ discretion.
