Seacoast United Community Camps are a chance for our full time professional, part-time club, international and current college player coaches to get out in our local communities and work with kids we otherwise would not be able to influence. They are geared towards recreational and travel level players who are looking to have a great time while working on their individual skills. Each week we will play lots of fun, ‘teaching games’ which utilize new and existing skills while using players’ imaginations. Other exercises are used to introduce more challenging skills which we encourage our players to try in our scrimmage time at the end of each day.
Each week-long camp concludes on Friday with our World Cup day which is built-up throughout the week. On Thursday, each player is placed on a team and given a country and color – just like in the World Cup. They are encouraged to arrive on Friday dressed in their country’s color, make flags and even paint their faces and hair! After a camp warm up all countries begin a day of scrimmage play to crown a World Cup Champion for the week.
Our 2012 schedule is being determined during the winter months. If you would like to have Seacoast United run a community camp in your town please please contact Matthew Glode at 603-758-7118 or email mglode@seacoastunited.org
