Seacoast United, Ocean Properties Donate Jerseys in Honduras
February 2011

On a recent trip to Latin America, Therese Smith of Ocean Properties, Ltd. (longtime Seacoast United partner) had the opportunity to visit the Children’s Center at Loma De Luz Hospital in Balfate, Honduras.  This hospital is an orphanage/sanctuary housing for children in bad situations at home and/or children without parents.  Children at this center received Seacoast United jerseys as a gift to help promote good choices for education and healthy eating.

The remaining Seacoast United jerseys will be given away in local villages.  Doctors from the hospital visit more than 60 small villages on a weekly basis.

Kick Back Program Seeks Volunteer

In the very near future, Seacoast United will be launching an ambitious community program and is looking for a volunteer to run the day-to-day operations.  Seacoast United’s Kick Back Program’s goal is to actively seeking out, collect, sort and ultimately ship donated soccer specific items all over the world. The initial goal is to target at least one organization or community on each continent that will benefit from the support of the Program.  It is the Club’s hope that children all over the world will be able to experience what the sport of soccer has to offer yet so many in the United States take for granted.
