Seacoast United has been training field hockey players for over 9 years now! We have stepped up our program by adding more Winter Club teams and having more experienced coaching! For our Winter Club team, for the 2008-2009 season we have 18 club teams all coached by highly experienced coaches.
Our Winter Club tryouts start in October for the under 12 and under 14 level. At the under 16 and under 19 level, tryouts are held in November. All of our tryouts for the Winter Club are open to all interested field hockey players. These tryouts normally last for two days - both days lasting for an average of 2-4 hours. At the end of tryouts, coaches select players for our teams. Once a player accepts her position on a team, she has accepted to commit to a full Winter Club season (approx. 16-24 weeks).
Our Summer Club tryouts are only for current Seacoast United players. Summer Club tryouts are held in May - players tryout to make one of the four under 16 and under 19 teams. Once a player accepts her position on a team, she has accepted to commit to a full Summer Club season (approx. 16-24 weeks). Our Summer Club program runs throughout the entire summer and into fall as well. These teams train to compete at the National Hockey Festival in California.
