Disney U14 Rise Tryouts

Disney Junior Field Hockey Showcase offers younger age groups the chance to experience the same great national competition and top-notch tournament organization as their older counterparts in the Disney Field Hockey Showcase which takes place each February.  What a great way to build your team’s resume on their way to the Proving Ground.   Tournament takes place July 20-23rd, 2013 in Orlando, FL.

Additional information will be sent out to U14 athletes in April.  (U14 Division:  Player must be under the age of 14 as of January 1, 2013)

Tryouts take place on Saturday, June 1st at the Seacoast United Indoor Arena, Hampton NH from 9-11am.  Tryouts are $30 per player.  Registration takes place online by clicking here.

Festival Tryouts
July 2013

The 2013 National Hockey Festival will be held at the International Polo Club in West Palm Beach, Florida during the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Festival attracts over 7,000 visitors from the US, Canada, Europe and Caribbean. In its first year at the International Polo Club, last year athletes showcased their skills on 26 pristine grass fields to the largest gathering of college field hockey coaches.

Tryouts will take place on Saturday, July 13th from 10am-1pm at the Club’s Outdoor Complex in Epping, NH.  Tryout registration fee is $35 per player.  Register online for Festival Tryouts by clicking here.

Seacoast United will be bringing 1 U19 team to Festival this November! U16 athletes will be considered for this team.

Seacoast Indoor Tournament: U14 Bracket Rescheduled
New Date: May 11th, 2013

The U14 bracket for the Seacoast United 12th Annual Indoor Field Hockey Tournament has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 11th, 2013 at the Hampton Indoor Arena in Hampton, NH.  The tournament consists of 60 teams from all over the Northeast Region including NH, ME, CT and MA.  Originally scheduled for Sunday, February 24th, the U14 division games were moved due to an overnight snowstorm.  Game times for the rescheduled May 11th date will take place between 9am-2pm.  

The Club is very excited to be able to host and offer this event for the 12th year and looks forward to what the competition brings this year! This is a great day for players to play, have fun and be exposed to over 20 college coaches who will be in attendance.

Regional Club Championships
Host Sites Announced

 Seacoast United is pleased to be named one of the host sites and will host the Region 1 (ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, & NY) U16 qualifier on Sunday May 5th at the Seacoast United Outdoor Complex located in Epping, NH. The goal of the Regional Club Championships is to enable every club from the eleven regions to have an opportunity to advance to the National Club Championship as well as create a highly competitive atmosphere for athletes and teams to compete.

Elite Group & Select Teams
Descriptions

The elite group will be made up of U14’s U 16’s and U19 level players. The experienced coaching staff feel these athletes are the top 40% percent of our club. The training for the elite group will be as a whole. We will not be ranking these athletes in team order training each week will be together and at the same time. The focus for the Elite group will be high level skill, including ball control, refining stick work, hand and coordination appropriate to play at game speed, as well as a high level understanding of the game.

USA Field Hockey’s Youth Development team announces FUNdamental Field Hockey!

FUNdamental Field Hockey is a youth development initiative to expose the sport to thousands of children nationwide by providing free equipment and emphasizing fun physical activity! In 2012, USA Field Hockey has committed to launching 250 programs across the United States in an effort to introduce the sport to over 15,000 boys and girls, ages 7-11.
