Seacoast United faced the Boston Aztec Breakers Reserves at Citizen’s Bank Park in Lancaster, MA as part of the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions weekend.  It is the second meeting between the two teams this season.  Although Seacoast was able to score first, the Aztec battled back for a 3-1 victory.

Seacoast struggled to keep possession early in the first half, playing a majority of the time in their own end of the field.  But in the 23rd minute, striker Kaitlyn Hinck (Bow, NH/Bryant University) sent a through ball to midfielder Kendra Spencer (Petosky, MI/Keene State) who kept the ball low to beat Aztec keeper Allison Lipsher to the near post.

Just ten minutes later, the Aztec responded.  Co-WPSL Player of the Week Leah Blaney, capitalized on a loose ball at the top of the box, beating Seacoast goalkeeper Jill Schott (9 saves) high to the left.  Six minutes later, the Aztec struck again on an Anna Canaglia shot (unassisted) from wide left of the 18 yd box, taking a 2-1 lead into halftime.
