1)    Will this conflict with my Club team or ODP?

We have taken extensive steps to insure minimal conflicts with Club teams.  There will be zero conflicts with State Cup.   Each coach will be responsible with communicating with Club coaches for schedules and creating an environment where a player is not in a situation where they need to choose one over the other.    We will not train on Wednesdays during ODP training dates.

2)    What is the game schedule like?

Each age division will have 10-12 games beginning in the middle of May and ending the second week of August.   You will play a home and away format with each opponent.  If you are interested in what teams are involved please visit http://supery.uslsoccer.com/schedules/index_E.html, to see what last years schedule and opponents looked like.

3)    What will the practice schedule look like?

Regular trainings will commence after Father's Day once per week.   This will insure that we do not conflict with the majority of Club or ODP training schedules.   We will look to have a few training sessions prior to this date on dates individualized per team in preparation for their 2 games in May.   Training venues will also be individualized per team to accomodate the majority of it's members.  For example, if we have 70% of the team from the Concord area, we will look to have trainings north of Manchester.  Otherwise we will train in Merrimack, NH.

4)    What is the commitment level for the summer?

The Club philosophy on Super Y participation as it relates to commitment level is that we encourage families that want to go on vacations or take time away from soccer to do so.   You should not feel tide down to this team for the summer and not enjoy the sometimes much needed family time that you all deserve.   We can carry a roster of 26 players for this reason.   The purpose of playing on this team is to stay in a competitive environment during the summer months.  Players should be able to have the best of both worlds and not have to commit 100% or nothing.  Obviously, the time that you are around, we expect full effort and attendance.

5)    What is the roster size and how will that relate to being rostered for games?

The roster size for each team will vary.   We will originally pick 18 players.  From that 18 we will distribute the schedule and check on availability.  If there is a need to add players to the roster as to insure a full compliment of players at each game then the coach will look to add players to his/her roster, accordingly.   Each player rostered will be dressed for a fair amount of games as compared to his/her teammates.

6)    How many teams will you be creating?

The hope is that we will be fielding 10 teams for the summer of 2010.  However, this is our first year and we need to make sure a positive experience is had by those that we select.  There is a certain standard of player that we will select and we will not be filling roster spots for the sake of filling spots.   Going to games with the wrong players will not be beneficial to anyone involved.  With that said, we will be making a decision after the March 6th tryouts as to how many teams we will put together.   It will either be 10 (U13-17 Boys and Girls) or 6 (U13,15,17 Boys and Girls).
